Fortuna, Adidas, and 11teamsports present the new special edition kit for the 2024/25 season! The jersey, named »Little Tokyo«, comes in two versions and highlights the strong connection between Fortuna, Düsseldorf, and Japan.
Düsseldorf is home to the largest Japanese community in Germany and the third-largest in Europe – around 15,000 Japanese people live in and around the city, shaping the vibrant district known as »Little Tokyo«. If you’re drawn to the energy of Asian metropolises, this is the place to be: nowhere else in Europe is Japanese life so concentrated in one area.
The front design of the jersey was created by Fortuna in collaboration with renowned Japanese illustrator Takumi Ogata. Inspired by his unique style, we brought the spirit of the design to life through dynamic anime-inspired transitions — blending bold motion, expressive visuals, and a touch of pop-culture flair to tell the »Little Tokyo« story on screen.
